Short Story: Realisation

                             Realisation

Sajid lived in a town nearby the Sialkot city. He belonged to a middle class family. His family was famous for its morality and was honoured by all in his relations and society. His family was also inclined towards spirituality and the religious concerns as well. He was an intelligent boy. He was second in his brothers and sisters.

He had passed his matriculation exam. Now, he had mind to take admission in some college. So, he took admission in Govt. Murray College Sialkot for his further studies. He took admission in F.Sc Pre-Engineering faculty. He started his studies with great interest.

He left for his college on regular basis. He felt excited while going to Sialkot to acquire the college environment, as he had dreams in his life to achieve some goal.

He was also motivated by his family, especially by his parents to make his future bright after getting his studies fulfilled. There he acquired the company of some students in his college.  After a few months, he also joined an academy to make his studies more better. During his studies, he proved to be an efficient student and his family was also hopeful for his further studies and success.

With the passage of time, his company made  him abit away from his studies and made him to enjoy the public facilities in Sialkot city. He often visited cinemas with all his friends to see and enjoy the movies. And they also visited the snooker clubs and such other activities. So, this was the way that made Sajid to take less interest in his studies and more in trivialities. He often missed his college and academic classes. He never missed to go to Sialkot.

His family, especially his parents had mind of his great performance in his studies, but now it was just their dream, and an ironic thought that was not expected to be implemented now, as they were ignorant of Sajid's malactivities. As, his parents were government officials; so were busy in their own activities and never tried to prob the situation that their son Sajid had been involved in malpractices. They believed that it was impossible that their son could be involved in malactivities, so they kept on blind trust on their son, 'Sajid'. Sajid  had now been derailed from his goals, as he had begun to ignore the educational purposes.

The first year had gone off and Sajid's first year exams came on. He attended the exams and made his parents to believe in his good performance in exams. His parents were awaiting for Sajid's results after a few months.

As, the result was announced, and Sajid's carelessness in his studies approved his negligence. It was the result of his bad company and malpractices as well. Sajid could attain only passing marks, as he had studied a little bit in the last weeks of his final exams.

On his parents' enquiry, he blamed not his carelessness, mistakes and malpractices, but the distance between his town and Sialkot city that the journey was claimed to be tiresome and a big cause of his bad performance in his studies. His parents ignored the negligence of Sajid and believed that he would perform well next time.

Now Sajid was in 2nd year class. He continued his malpractices, and his parents were not aware of his non-sense activities yet. He also began his involvement in outdoor social links and developing his interests in fussing organizations.

His performance in his studies went on bad due to his carelessness and malpractices as well as due to the carelessness of his parents too, because they never asked Sajid about his studies and never enquired through any link that could be exposition of his malpractices. As, the 2nd year of his education in college had also passed out; like the first year of his education career and studies. It was the result again that he could not pass the exam.

Now, his parents had come to know of his bad performance in his studies. Now Sajid's parents became aware of the fact that they must have monitored the activities of Sajid and enquire his academic performance as well from the concerned educational institutions where Sajid was going to study.

It was also the time for Sajid to be aware of his mistakes and carelessness, as he had wasted his golden period to make his future bright. But now it was too late.
